I originally tried to work with the lender that does the most advertising on radio and TV. They were quick. They were easy to understand. But their interest rate was almost a half percent higher than Platinum's and they were charging slightly more for closing costs. Then I tried the banks. All of them were slightly more in both interest and costs. One bank named for America had an absurdly un user friendly computer system. They sent me an explanation of more than a dozen pages when I told them I could not understand them. Chris had been very friendly and easy to work with. Almost all the work was done by telephone or email. We are closing today. I live in California, my refinance is an Austin Texas property, and Chris' office is in Chicago, Illinois.
